As you can see I’m trying to catch up on a few of our life events that at this point are a bit dated … so please bear with these dated posts or enjoy them for those to whom the news is new.
Yes, Ethan is already 3! Time has gone far too fast. Now as I look at little Ava I just want to cherish her infancy and hope to slow things down, but with a 3-year-old things are really never slow!
Ethan had a fun sports party this year with his friends and family. We set up different sports stations like golf, basketball, soccer, bowling, and a ball toss. I don’t know why we tried to put any order to this … with a room full of mostly 2-3 year olds how orderly can things be? Anyway, Ethan had a great time and a few moments to feel extra special … something he needed after the baby.
On his actual birthday we took Ethan out to lunch and he received one of those complimentary ice cream sundaes. He was thrilled that it had a cherry on top, although he gave it to dad to eat. When they came to sing Happy Birthday he decided it was too much attention and got off his chair, came over to mom and buried his head in my lap until they were done singing. I guess he’s not a fan of being in the limelight.

What a cute birthday party! And Happy Belated Birthday to your big guy. Wish we could have been there to celebrate along with you guys. Congrats on making it to '3', in my book it is infinitely better than '2'.
