Ava Sofia

Beautiful little Ava Sofia was born Thursday, September 23 at 5:20 p.m. weighing 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches long. I realize this is old news for most folks … but with a newborn and many visitors it’s taken me a bit to get to blog updates.

My last set of blog updates were done on September 23^rd around 1 a.m. while I was trying to keep myself busy between 5-minute contractions. I went into labor around 7pm on the 22^nd while I was getting Ethan ready for bed and thought we'd be heading to the hospital before midnight. Much to my chagrin this slow labor lasted until about 1 hour before Ava was born the next day. We finally went to the hospital around 7:30 in the morning and by about 10:30 am I was so exhausted that I finally agreed to have an epidural. Sweet relief! Things finally kicked in gear around 4:30pm and Ava joined the world by 5:20pm.

We’re so happy to have her sweet, patient little self in our home!
