Ethan and I read a book a few days ago at the library about a boy and his snake. The book had lots of illustrations of the boy with the snake wrapped around his neck, arms, legs, etc. Since that time Ethan kept talking about holding a snake so I figured the Reptile Zoo would be a great visit. He LOVED it! He couldn't get enough time holding the baby pythons (or boas ... i can't remember and it didn't matter to Ethan). We would hold snakes, wander around to look at the other reptiles, hold snakes, bathroom break, hold snakes, check out spiders, hold snakes ... you get the routine.
He also loved the giant tortoise. He just sat and hung out and chatted with him for some time. A great visit!

Oh, that is so cute! (Well, as cute as snakes can be...). :)
I love it. Check him out, Mr. Confident. He is awesome. That is just what you want in your little (on his way to big) boy. Kudos to you for keeping any desires to freak out whilst he was holding snakes to a minimum.
